Corporate Headquarters

On the second floor of the historic Hahne and Co. Building is 11,000 sf dedicated to City National Bank’s headquarters. As a financial institution established in Newark, CNB is a perfect fit as the second tenants to inhabit the Newark landmark after its restoration and rebirth. The bank takes advantage of the former department store’s large space to establish an open-floor office environment to provide optimal service for its customers and staff.

The headquarters’ interior plays homage to the organzaition’s love for commraderie and hosting events—offering sufficient space for CNB’s employees to celebrate their accolades and company achievements. Exposed ceilings covered with dark paint provides an industrial-corporate energy for the space. The open-floor design is the primary feature of the offices. Glass in introduced as a main element of the design to accomplish the illusion of a singular space. Glass is emphasized in the lobby with full-length windows and is also seen as a substitute for many interior elements like walls and doors to separate the break space from the workstations. Standard office and hospitality materials are creatively placed to spark a livley interior as well compliment City National Bank’s industrial-corporate headquarter appeal.
