Art on Display

From a welded copper gargoyle and ghostly Ecsher-like print, to furniture handmade from reclaimed wood and quilted handicrafts, KSS staffers showed off their artistic talents – or the talents of friends and family – at the Princeton office’s recent “Happy Lunch.”

After Memorial Day, KSS’ weekly Happy Hour get-togethers on Friday afternoons switch over to “Happy Lunch.” Each week staff members bring in lunch for the office – homemade creations or take-out favorites. Last Friday in Princeton, Beth Verbeyst’s Happy Lunch paired “grease and art” offering a KFC feast with an inspiring display of staff artwork. From her own gargoyle-in-progress and Justin Bienvenu’s letterpress fish print, to a salesman cartoon by Sheila Nall’s father and Scot Murdoch’s college self-portrait, the artwork provided lots of conversation over fried chicken and biscuits.

What’s next for Happy Lunch? We’ll just have to see where our creative talents take us.
