KSS Architects reflects in honor of International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is March 8th, and we at KSS Architects see it as an opportunity to reflect on how our firm elevates the role of women in the architectural field, and our dreams for how we can help envision a more inclusive, gender equal world.

According to the 2016 EquityxDesign report, while women represent ~45% of students enrolled in architecture programs in the U.S., women comprise 31% of architecture staff, and 20% of principals & partners at firms owned by members of the AIA.

Recognizing that there exists a significant gender gap in architecture, we asked KSS’ers to look within their personal experiences to explore progress made and visions for a more equitable work-life experience.
