KSS Architects Welcomes New Hires

Since the beginning of 2021, KSS is pleased to have welcomed eight talented professionals to the firm.  Get to know our newest KSSers, whose expertise spans architecture and interior design, marketing and accounting, below.

Jon Canter, Architectural Designer

Jon has experience in healthcare, K-12, and complex transportation and infrastructure facilities with particular expertise in complex enclosures that require close coordination with consultants and engineers. When outside the office, Jon enjoys being outdoors, skiing, hiking, and fishing. 

Mahogany Edwards, Billing Specialist  

Mahogany appreciates the universality of accounting which allows her to apply her previous experience in taxes, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and customer service to the architecture industry. In her free time, Mahogany enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her cat and dog, and showing off her karaoke skills.

Maryam Hallaj, Marketing Coordinator

Formally trained as an architect, Maryam transitioned into the marketing of the industry and gained experience in proposals and communications, especially focused on educational, cultural, and performing arts spaces. Outside of work, Maryam enjoys travelling, trying local coffee roasters, and crafting handmade clay jewelry. 

Rachael KulishArchitectural Designer

A former KSS summer intern, Rachael has now joined the firm full time. She is passionate about creating environments that enhance the interactions between people and the spaces they occupy. Travel is a huge source of design inspiration for Rachael, providing rich experiences that have helped elevate her understanding of how people use and shape their world.

Haley LindsleyArchitectural Designer

Haley’s experience in design-build and community engagement color her approach to architecture as a service to its community. After studying and working in New Orleans for nearly a decade, Haley is enjoying the definitively urban typology of her new home in New York City. Her hobbies include singing, opera, and hiking.

Laura McLaine, Senior Marketing Manager

Laura has worked in marketing and business development within the architecture and construction industries for approximately 10 years and has been an active member CREW Greater Philadelphia since 2015, currently serving as the Co-Chair of the Communications Committee. Outside of work, Laura keeps active on her Peloton or outdoors, working around her fixer-upper, and restoring modern furniture for her home.

Patricia (Trish) Rauner, Senior Interior Designer

Trish has more than three decades of industry experience spanning programming, strategic building analysis, space planning, interior architecture and design, construction documentation, and construction administration for a wide range of institutional and commercial clients. In her free time, Trish enjoys travelling, visiting art museums and galleries, cooking, gardening, history, and admiring jewelry. 

Ray Sova, Project Architect

Throughout his career, Ray has gained experience across a variety of project types, sizes, and phases with particular focus on complex projects relating to higher education, specifically lab and engineering projects, and healthcare. Outside of the office, Ray enjoys a wide range of activities ranging from carpentry, music, athletics, podcasting, and more. Most notably, he enjoys watching/playing sports, biking, and video games.
