Dimensions of the Hybrid Workplace

The pandemic accelerated many workplace trends that were already nascent, propelling them from emerging practices to immediate adoption among new practical realities, increased economic and social uncertainties, and steep learning curves for workers getting used to new work technologies, practices, and environments. As we begin to emerge from the pandemic and head back into the office, we are entering uncharted territory. Feelings on returning to the office are mixed; many workers would prefer to work remotely permanently while others are excited to return to the physical office, if only on a hybrid basis. It is safe to say that things will never be as they were pre-pandemic, and the office as we knew it is forever changed. As designers, this gives us the opportunity to reimagine the new hybrid workplace. We have identified six dimensions that we think will define the office of the future. Read the full article here
