KSS Announces New Partner Based in NYC Office

KSS Architects, a national architecture, interior design, and planning firm, is proud to announce the promotion of Jason Chmura, AIA, LEED AP BD+C to Partner.

With an ever-expanding portfolio of work in New York City—from cutting-edge, speculative, multi-story urban industrial hubs to Pre-K-12 schools to housing projects, KSS continues to expand our connection to the city as a gateway to the world, and Jason is leading the charge.

“I am thankful and truly excited to join the partnership here at KSS. A clear and consistent set of values and a commitment to meaningful design drew me to this firm 12 years ago. As we now see rapid growth in our New York City office and further expand our footprint globally, I look forward to continuing that vision in this new role,” says Jason.

Jason brings a wide-spectrum of experience to the projects he is involved with. His background in engineering and construction informs his ability to work collaboratively with consultants and contractors to determine the right design solutions throughout the lifecycle of a project. Jason balances pragmatic needs with out-of-the-box thinking to create buildings that truly express a client’s vision. A LEED Accredited Professional, his passion for sustainability aligns with KSS’s broader mission to design today for tomorrow – building structures that are economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable to fulfill the needs and rights of this and future generations.

Jason’s growth and desire to lead has been unwavering. As the leader of our New York office, Jason nurtured his ability to provide support to his clients while guiding his fellow employees in the growth of a new office. His ability to drive complex projects, while elevating and mentoring those working with him, shows his true qualities that supported his elevation to partner. Jason’s visionary outlook for the future will help guide KSS for many years to come,” shares Matt McChesney, Partner.
