Amogy: New Energy Innovation

ENERGY RE-IMAGINED

KSS Architects is proud to work with Amogy, Inc., a  global energy start-up that is disrupting and decarbonizing the oil & gas industry with its powerpack technology. The “powerpack” enables carbon-free mobility for the hard-to-abate sectors such as shipping, transportation, and stationary power generation. The facility, which was formerly used to produce oil and gas equipment, is located at 12221 N. Houston Rosslyn Road, and it’s set to open in early 2024.

KSS ARCHITECTS: LEVERAGING THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT TO FACILITATE INNOVATION

KSS partnered with Amogy to redesign a 53,000-square-foot facility they’ve leased in the heart of oil and gas-land. The facility was previously used to produce oil and gas equipment, and this forward-thinking renovation features manufacturing space, research & development space, offices, and a display area to show proof of concept. The entry cladding is a mix of bright, rich orange and deep blue, distinguishing it from its industrial surroundings, acting at once as a beacon and heralding a new chapter for the world.

This redesign will enable the start-up to scale production and start delivering to customers globally, accelerating the transition to a carbon-free future.
